Let your eyes convince you. It's not Cirque du Soleil, but the children's Circus Basilisk created, performed, and managed all by Swiss children. The children who are not performing are either managing the concession stands or working stage set-up between acts. You'll find children as young as six years old handling money, making popcorn, and selling other food and souvenirs. They work with efficiency, maturity, dedication, and discipline! It's inspiring to watch them. I start to ponder...how can I get my children to be this way (hmm...still thinking).
The stage set-up crew is amazing. They work tirelessly between acts and with complete professionalism. Never a word is spoken between them as they quickly prep and prepare for the next act. The adults supervising, if any, are invisible to the audience during the entire 2.5 hour performance. All that is asked in return for this fabulous performance is our applause and monetary contribution (optional) to support this program. Admission is free to the public.
